Finance Committee to make a recommendation to the City Council.

Re-filtering Substation Transformer that failed oil sample tests.

Mr. O'Donnell reported oil tests are conducted each year to verify the condition of the substation transformers. This year two of the eight had high moisture content in the oil. To correct this problem, the oil well needs to be replaced and condition of gasket checked.

Kuhlman Electric, the Manufacturer of the transformers quoted $13,800.00 to process the oil and inspect the transformer gaskets/seals. Recommended to the full Council for approval.

Upgrading the Utility Office computer system. The system is inadequate for their present use and the program upgrade.

Jim Simpson had some proposal to review; information was incomplete and was referred to the next meeting.

No recommendation.

Reviewed the Long and Short term goals of the Electric Department.

Reviewed with the Electric Committee several issues on the list.

No action or changes.

Deposit Refunds. Conny Sanders reviewed the list with the Electric Committee explaining this is done on a yearly basis and would require council approval.  The total for all utilities was $9,109.00. Referred to the City Council for approval.
Commercial account reviews and customer contact. All account reviews and recommended changes outside the rate ordinance are to be referred to the Electric Committee for recommendations. Special Electric Committee Meeting in November, 2002 to discuss this issue.
