Solid Waste Removal
Residential customers in single family dwellings are charged a $18.50 per month rate for weekly curbside garbage collection. This charge includes pickup for garbage, recyclables and yard waste. Curbside Refuse, Recycling and Yard Waste Collection Program
Effective July 31, 2018 the City of Rock Falls will begin a new refuse collection system with the start of automated curbside collection of household refuse and recycled materials. With this program, each single family residence will receive one 95 gallon cart for household trash with a dark brown lid, and one 95 gallon cart for recyclable items (picked up every two weeks) with a light tan lid. Yard waste will continue to be picked up in refuse cans with an x and lawn bags not exceeding 35 gallons in capacity or 35 lbs. Yard waste will be picked up weekly April – November.
